Hillary Barton & Alex Grassano

Alex and Hillary’s modern day romance started with the popular dating site match.com. It didn’t take long for the couple to know they were meant to be—one year later they were engaged. After designing the perfect ring, Alex couldn’t wait for their upcoming trip to Las Vegas to propose. Instead, he surprised Hillary with the ring while dining at Mi Cocina.

Alex and Hillary settled on The Joule, a downtown hotel and hot spot, for their nuptials on Saturday, October 24, 2015. “We really wanted the wedding to feel clean, modern, and minimalist. We requested white flowers with fleck grass as accents. To make the reception look and feel more intimate, we had three sections of long, continuing tables with mirrored table tops and low flower arrangements heavily surrounded by candles. It was truly a breathtaking sight,” says Hillary.

Before walking out to greet their guests, the couple had a special moment in a private room where they enjoyed appetizers and their first toast as a married couple. “That was truly the best moment for us. The chaos of planning and preparing for a year was over and we were able to breathe as a married couple,” she says.
