When Brandon first met Alicia during their freshman year at the University of Oklahoma, he knew she was the one he wanted to marry. However, it wasn’t for 10 years later that the couple started to date seriously. During their college years, the pair dated for almost a year, but decided to go their separate ways. Even through moves to different cities and seeing each other through other relationships, Alicia and Brandon remained friends. However, in 2012, Brandon’s friend “requested” Alicia on Facebook. This prompted her to confront Brandon. He told her how he always loved her and will never find a girl like her. From that day, they spoke every day and agreed to a date when Alicia visited Dallas from San Fransisco during her Christmas break. A year later, the couple moved in together. A few months later, he proposed.
The day after Christmas, the couple went to a Mavericks versus Lakers basketball game. After the game, Brandon told Alicia that he wanted to take a picture together outside. After snapping a shot, Brandon grabbed her hand and told her he had one more late Christmas present for her and got down on one knee.
Brandon attended the University of Central Oklahoma where he played quarterback and majored in marketing. He is an independent athletic performance trainer. Alicia graduated from Wichita State University and majoring in business marketing. She works for Hotels.com in search engine marketing. They will marry Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Saint Monica’s Catholic Church.
