Andrew and Elizabeth attended Texas Tech University (both were business majors, both studied abroad in Italy), but didn’t cross paths until senior year. The pair worked in the study abroad office promoting the trip that they both had previously attended. Their weekly business class they shared provided them the opportunity to flirtatiously get to know one another. What was a light-hearted “senior year” relationship turned serious a few months later and they both decided to relocate to Dallas after graduation.
Each year Andrew and Elizabeth planned a romantic trip together. Andrew was set on a ski trip to Breckinridge in January. Much to Elizabeth’s disdain for cold weather, she agreed to go. Andrew had an engagement mapped out for a romantic trip to the top of the mountain or on a horse-drawn carriage, but both plans fell through. On the first night of the trip, Andrew threw the ring in his pocket and the couple set off on a trail to take a walk. As they were making their way down a snoeshoe path it started to snow and he got down on one knee. Elizabeth said yes!
Elizabeth studied business management and dance at Texas Tech University. She received her MBA with a concentration in organizational behavior and human resource management from the University of North Texas. She works in the People Department at Southwest Airlines. Andrew studied business management and marketing at Texas Tech University. He is the Dallas area sales manager for Glazer’s Wholesale Distributors. The couple will marry October 5, 2013 in Horseshoe Bay, Texas. The ceremony will be held The Church at Horseshoe Bay with a reception to follow at Quail Point Lodge.
