Before texts and swipes, Tyler courted Mackenzie the old-fashioned way: With a passed note on the first day of ninth grade. Mackenzie’s move to Austin ended the young love, but four years later, they started dating after Tyler asked the TCU student to his SMU formal. Atop Reunion Tower, Tyler once again wrote Mackenzie a love note, but this time it was a proposal. On June 4, 2016, the couple married alongside their close-knit families—as Mackenzie fondly remembers—“praying encouragement over us.” –Ryan Conner
