Michelle and Ryan’s love story began at a small group at church  They met, started dating a month later, and were engaged a year after that. Ryan proposed in New York City to a tearful Michelle and a group of clapping onlookers. “It was cheesy and wonderful,” Michelle says.

Ryan, an architect, and Michelle, a graduate of FIT, decided on a black-and-white palette and a minimalist aesthetic for the wedding day on Sunday, September 21, 2014. She found her 1920s-style Elizabeth Fillmore gown at Warren Barrón, booked the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Dallas Arboretum, and the rest of the details started to fall into place. To compliment their venue choices, they brought in Art Deco elements with the bridesmaids’ jewelry and paper products. “It was a garden party in the moonlight I will never forget,” she says.
