Sometimes love can turn up in the most familiar of places. Like work. Jim Morgan invited Rachel Noriega to grab a bite to eat on their lunch break while working at Texas Capital Bank. What was a “casual lunch date” to Rachel ended up being a love connection for both. Jim took her to her favorite Italian spot and they immediately hit it off. “We were inseparable ever since!” says Rachel.
When Rachel planned for the two families to meet for the first time, she didn’t realize she’d be setting the stage for a proposal. Their families were both coming to town on a weekend last October and Rachel thought it would be a great idea for the two sides to meet, so she invited everyone over to their house for dessert. Towards the end of the evening, Jim asked everyone to join him in the living room as he started to thank everyone for coming. A few minutes later, he started to talk about how much Rachel means to him and he asked her to stand with him. She knew what was about to happen and started to get emotional. “It was the most perfect proposal and I love that he included my entire family,” she says.
The couple will marry Saturday, July 11, 2015 in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
