Soo Kim & Chris Hong

Soo is a Southern Methodist University graduate and artist primarily focused on painting, but runs her own floral business on the side. Chris graduated from Oklahoma State University before going on to manage the finance department for Audi Plano. Chris proposed on a glass-bottomed ferris wheel so Soo’s fear of heights had her heart pounding long before Chris took out the ring. Before he could say anything, she screamed so loudly that Chris forgot to actually pop the question. Soo exclaimed, “Aren’t you going to ask me!?” and Chris finally managed to say, “Will you marry me?”

The couple mixed neutral shades of gold, green, and purple with black accents throughout their venues. Florist, Maxine Owens, with The Southern Table provided heavily textured green and white arrangements to compliment the intimate, vintage setting.  An early spring storm set in the morning of the big day and threatened to spoil their plans. Just as Soo began walking down the aisle, the clouds parted and the sun came out for the rest of the afternoon. This magical moment made the couple feel like there were greater forces at work on their perfect day.
